Ramaco Resources Signs roboLoop MOU for Electronic Waste Materials

Ramaco Resources has signed a memorandum of understanding with roboLoop to test and potentially buy gallium rich electronic waste materials for its planned Brook Facility in Wyoming.

Ramaco Resources has signed a memorandum of understanding that is not binding with roboLoop to test and potentially buy gallium rich electronic waste materials, the company announced in a press release.

The materials would be processed at roboLoop's recycling facility and could be used at Ramaco's planned pilot plant and commercial scale carbochlorination facility in Sheridan, Wyoming, known as the Brook Facility. Ramaco said the work follows an electronic waste opportunity identified in a Hatch conceptual study released in July 2026.

roboLoop, based in Pennsylvania, uses AI and robotics to disassemble flat panel displays, including televisions and computer monitors. Its systems separate materials into cleaner streams and support recovery of critical minerals, including indium, from end of life electronics.

Under the MOU, roboLoop will negotiate terms to sell certain quantities of electronic waste materials to Ramaco for testing, validation, and possible future blending and processing. Any supply or offtake agreement would depend on due diligence, final agreements, construction and operations of the Brook Facility, and other conditions.
