PCS Software Introduces Cortex AI for Freight Automation

PCS Software has announced the launch of Cortex, an AI engine embedded in its Transportation Management System (TMS), designed to automate and optimize freight operations.

PCS Software has unveiled Cortex, an AI engine integrated into its Transportation Management System (TMS), aimed at automating freight operations. Announced in a press release, Cortex is designed to enhance decision-making and reduce manual tasks for carriers, brokers, and shippers.

Cortex is embedded within the PCS TMS, providing seamless integration across various workflows such as dispatch, planning, safety, and maintenance. The AI engine focuses on four key areas: optimization, workflow efficiency, communication management, and insights generation. These enhancements are expected to lead to faster and more confident decision-making, ultimately saving time and improving operational efficiency.

The first Cortex-powered capabilities, set to debut at the Houston PCS Customer Summit on September 25, will include intelligent dispatch, routing, and scheduling workflows. These tools aim to provide dispatchers and decision-makers with new opportunities to increase profitability in the freight market. Cortex will be available to PCS customers starting this fall.
