Palantir Proposes AI Action Plan to White House
Palantir has submitted a set of recommendations to the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) for developing an AI Action Plan. The submission aims to sustain and enhance America's leadership in artificial intelligence while ensuring that regulatory requirements do not hinder private sector innovation, announced on their website.
The recommendations focus on five key areas: modernizing federal AI acquisition and deployment, investing in foundational data infrastructure, promoting sound AI adoption and innovation, pursuing existing opportunities for AI adoption in government, and maintaining American global leadership in AI. Palantir emphasizes the need for streamlined procurement processes and increased budget allocations for AI initiatives across federal agencies.
Additionally, Palantir suggests expanding the use of AI in government operations, such as healthcare and fraud detection, and calls for hosting a global AI summit in Silicon Valley to reinforce America's technological leadership. These measures are intended to ensure that AI advancements align with American values and national security interests.
