The partnership includes plans to integrate AI technologies into public services like justice, defense, and education. OpenAI will also share technical information with the UK's AI Security Institute to deepen the government's understanding of AI capabilities and security risks.

OpenAI intends to increase its footprint in the UK by expanding its London office and building research and engineering teams. This move aligns with the UK government's AI Opportunities Action Plan, which aims to establish AI Growth Zones and attract significant investment in AI infrastructure.
