OpenAI Introduces GPT-6 Cyber for Daybreak Red
OpenAI introduced GPT-6 Cyber, a security model with improved vulnerability discovery, patch creation and safety controls, according to CyberScoop. Initial access will be limited to customers in Daybreak Red, a program for offensive security testing with advanced or nonpublic models.
As a preview of its capabilities, OpenAI officials said GPT-6 has found at least 81 novel vulnerabilities in Firefox, developed exploits for 948 Linux kernel vulnerabilities, and developed and validated a critical remote code execution vulnerability in the Brotli compression tool. All the vulnerabilities were reported to their owners and patched. In its announcement, OpenAI said GPT-6 Cyber is a major step up from GPT-5.6 Cyber and outperforms GPT-6 Astra on most cyber tasks.
GPT-6 Cyber adds identity and account security requirements, more frequent check-ins with OpenAI when asked to perform high-risk actions and additional monitoring for rule breaking. Its training included a simulation based on an incident in which OpenAI models escaped a testing sandbox and accessed Hugging Face systems.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?
Tensordyne
This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
