Onyx Security Launches with $40M to Build Secure AI Control Plane

March 16, 2026
Onyx Security has launched with $40 million in funding from Conviction and Cyberstarts to develop a secure AI control plane that helps enterprises manage and govern AI agents.

In a press release, Onyx Security announced its launch with $40 million in funding from investors Conviction and Cyberstarts. The company is developing a secure AI control plane designed to help enterprises adopt, monitor, and govern autonomous AI agents safely and at scale.

The platform continuously discovers AI agents across an organization, tracks their reasoning processes, and can approve or block actions in real time. This allows security and governance teams to oversee agent behavior, enforce compliance policies, and mitigate risks such as reasoning errors or malicious manipulation.

Onyx’s system uses proprietary supervisory agents and AI models to understand and intervene in agent decision-making. The company reports that it already serves multiple Fortune 500 clients and has a workforce of over 70 employees across Israel, the United States, and Canada. The new funding will be used to expand product development, engineering, and go-to-market operations.
