Ocean has launched from stealth with $28 million in funding to expand its AI email security platform, announced in a press release. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from Picture Capital and Cerca Partners. Angel investors include Wiz co-founder Assaf Rappaport and Armis co-founders Yevgeny Dibrov and Nadir Izrael.

The company describes its system as an agentic email security platform that replaces traditional detection tools with AI agents capable of investigating every message for context and intent. At the center of the product is Ray, an autonomous investigation engine that reviews each email in real time to verify sender authenticity, analyze content, and detect potential threats.

Ocean states that its platform currently protects hundreds of thousands of mailboxes and processes over one billion emails each month. Customers include Kayak, Kingston Technology, and Headspace. The company was founded in 2024 by Shay Shwartz and Oran Moyal and operates from New York City and Tel Aviv.
