Fieldguide has achieved FedRAMP Moderate Authorization for its federal environment through a partnership with Knox Systems, the companies announced in a press release.

The authorization gives audit and advisory firms a certified environment for Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification and NIST 800-171 engagements involving U.S. Department of War contractors and subcontractors. Fieldguide said the federal environment uses the same platform as its commercial product, but runs in an isolated deployment.

The platform supports CMMC Level 2 work, which expands 110 NIST 800-171 requirements into 320 assessment objectives across 14 control families. Fieldguide said its Field Agents can test objectives, draft control narratives, review evidence, and support eMASS ready submission packages, with practitioners reviewing the work.

Fieldguide said firms keep their own accreditation, including Registered Provider Organization status for readiness work and Certified Third Party Assessor Organization status for certification assessments. The federal environment is rolling out to firms starting in August 2026.
