NVIDIA considers billions in credit support for Nscale data center
NVIDIA is discussing billions of dollars in credit guarantees for Nscale, The Information reported, according to Reuters. The guarantees would support debt financing for power infrastructure and construction at a West Virginia data center that Anthropic plans to use.
The companies have not signed an agreement, and the terms could change. NVIDIA is an investor in the UK based cloud provider.
Anthropic agreed in August to spend $45 billion renting computing capacity from Nscale's West Virginia campus. Nscale is also discussing a separate deal to sell Anthropic about 460 megawatts of AI computing capacity for roughly $45 billion. The report comes as NVIDIA-backed CoreWeave and Firmus face concerns about the debt financing behind the AI build-out.
