Anthropic Signs $45 Billion Cloud Deal With Nscale

Anthropic has reached a roughly $45 billion cloud deal with Nscale to rent about 460 megawatts of compute capacity from a data center development in West Virginia.

Anthropic has reached a roughly $45 billion cloud deal with Nscale, CNBC reported. Under the agreement, Anthropic will rent about 460 megawatts of compute capacity at an Nscale data center development in West Virginia.

The facility is expected to use Nvidia Vera Rubin chips and come online at the end of 2027. The compute capacity will support Anthropic services, including its Claude AI models and products.

The agreement follows several compute deals Anthropic has signed this year, including arrangements with AMD, SpaceX, Google, and Broadcom. Anthropic previously said demand for Claude had strained its infrastructure during peak usage periods.
