Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi and Morgan Stanley will finance AI compute capacity built with Broadcom accelerators and leased to Anthropic.

Bank of America, Blackstone, Citi and Morgan Stanley announced in a joint press release a $63 billion financing structure for AI compute capacity using technology from Broadcom. The capacity will use Broadcom XPU AI accelerators and networking systems that will be leased to Anthropic, with deliveries expected to begin in 2027.

The transaction will use a newly formed special purpose vehicle to purchase the hardware. Bank of America, Citi and Morgan Stanley will arrange the first lien portion of the financing, while Blackstone will provide the committed portion of the second lien financing.

Broadcom will provide residual value support to the special purpose vehicle for an amount equal to the first lien financing. The transaction is part of a strategic compute capacity agreement previously disclosed by Broadcom.
