&Truth Emerges From Stealth With $70 Million for Code Verification
&Truth emerged from stealth with $70 million in seed capital and plans to build a universal verification machine for software, the company said in a press release. Founded in early 2026, the public benefit corporation is developing a system that reads code in any programming language and produces mathematical proofs that can be checked independently.
The company says its technology combines AI with proof automation to reduce verification work from months or years to hours or minutes. It is also building tools that translate business requirements and human instructions into formal specifications used to check code behavior across possible inputs.
The system builds on Lean, Mathlib, CSLib, and other open source technologies. &Truth plans to release its foundational libraries as open source and operates from headquarters in Palo Alto and Singapore. It was co-founded by Stanford computer science professor Clark Barrett, co-director of the Stanford Center for AI Safety, and Ilya Sergey of the National University of Singapore.
