NAVER D2SF has invested in STUDIO LAB, a startup that specializes in AI-powered e-commerce content generation, announced in a press release. STUDIO LAB has developed a solution called "GENCY," which uses multimodal AI to create high-quality product detail pages (PDPs) in just 15 to 30 seconds after uploading product photos.

The startup's technology generates complete PDPs, including optimized marketing copies, layouts, and detailed designs, addressing sellers' challenges end-to-end. STUDIO LAB has independently developed over five AI models, including a fashion-specialized Vision-Language Pretraining (VLP) model, trained on over 10,000 PDPs and 200,000 image-text data points.

Currently, STUDIO LAB is expanding its business, targeting major fashion companies and has secured partnerships with around 30 firms, including LF, W Concept, GS Retail, and Shinsegae. The company is also exploring global markets such as Japan and the United States, with plans to expand into other sectors like jewelry.

Sanghwan Yang, Head of NAVER D2SF, highlighted the increasing adoption of generative AI solutions in the commerce sector and expressed intentions for collaboration between STUDIO LAB and NAVER Shopping. Meanwhile, STUDIO LAB's CEO, Sunghoon Kang, mentioned ongoing efforts to automate the creation of A+ Content for Amazon sellers.
