MySize Acquires Percentil to Expand into Circular Fashion
MySize Inc. has acquired key assets of Percentil, a managed marketplace for second-hand fashion, as announced in a press release. This acquisition marks MySize's strategic entry into the circular fashion and re-commerce sectors, aligning with upcoming EU regulatory requirements.
The acquisition involves MySize's newly-formed subsidiary in Spain, New Percentil, S.L., taking over Percentil's operations across Spain, France, Germany, and Italy. The transaction, valued at approximately €610,000, includes a cash payment and the assumption of certain liabilities. MySize plans to reposition Percentil as a premium marketplace, focusing on high-value items and a sustainable business model.
MySize aims to leverage Percentil's platform to launch a B2B resale solution called 'Circularity as a Service,' enabling brands to monetize overstock and returns. This initiative is supported by MySize's AI technology, which will be integrated into Percentil's platform to optimize pricing and enhance customer experiences.
The acquisition is strategically timed with the EU's upcoming regulations on sustainable and circular textiles, positioning Percentil as a key partner for fashion brands seeking compliance. MySize expects the Percentil business unit to generate significant revenue growth, contributing to the company's overall profitability.
