Monk Launches Voice Collections for AI Phone Calls in Accounts Receivable
Monk launched Voice Collections, a feature that lets its AI collections agent Julia place outbound collection calls and answer inbound invoice and payment questions, the company said in a press release. The feature gives each organization a dedicated phone number and adds calls to Monk's Intelligent Collections product.
Julia can call accounts selected by a collections playbook and answer when customers call back about invoices, payments, or bank details. Monk said calls are kept in the same collection record as email history, so finance teams can review the full account thread in one place.
The phone agent can only read data during calls. It can answer questions, confirm details, and route next steps, but it cannot rewrite invoices, change payment status, or accept sensitive payment changes by voice. If a caller asks about an invoice, Julia asks for both the company name and invoice number before looking up information.
Voice Collections is available now as an opt in feature. Monk configures the dedicated number and call behavior with each organization before activating it in Collections.
