Monica Zent Addresses U.S. Embassy Mauritius on AI Enablement
Monica Zent, Managing Director of Law Innovation Agency, was invited to speak at a series of events hosted by the U.S. Embassy in Mauritius on corporate and institutional AI enablement according to a press release. The events took place in April 2026 and were co-hosted by Chargé d'Affaires Craig Halbmaier and Economic Officer Joanna Chen.
Zent presented on topics including AI readiness, policy, governance, and LegalTech adoption. Her session, titled *Designing an AI Roadmap: Why AI Enablement is Critical for Today's Organization*, was held at Macarty House and attended by global executives and government officials. Panelists included Halbmaier, Dr. Avinash Ramtohul, Minister of Information Technology, Communication and Innovation, and Jonathan Ane, CEO of Kulana.
She also participated in another panel, *The Key Role of the Legal Team in Leading AI Adoption*, joined by Halbmaier, Attorney General Gavin Glover, Joel Lambert of Mauritius Commercial Bank, and Ane. The discussion provided strategies for legal leaders to accelerate AI and LegalTech adoption across organizations.
The events followed Mauritius' launch of its National Artificial Intelligence Strategy and FAIR Guidelines, marking a step toward building an inclusive digital economy. Zent noted that the AI transformation of both public and private sectors is global in scope and emphasized the importance of responsible adoption.
