IANS Launches Cybersecurity MCP Server for AI Integration

July 16, 2026
IANS has announced the launch of the IANS Model Context Protocol Server, providing practitioner-validated cybersecurity intelligence directly within AI tools like Claude, with expansion to other platforms planned later in 2026.

IANS announced in a press release the launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, designed to provide practitioner-validated cybersecurity intelligence directly within clients’ AI tools. The service is currently available through Claude, with support for additional AI platforms planned for the second half of 2026.

The IANS MCP Server allows security teams to access proprietary intelligence such as news, vendor research, and data from thousands of client and expert interactions. The system integrates these resources into AI tools to enhance the quality and relevance of outputs used for vendor research, incident response, and threat management.

According to IANS, the MCP draws on two decades of data and practitioner insight collected through its Faculty network, aiming to make peer-tested information available in the environments where security teams already work. Early adoption has shown use cases in vendor evaluation, AI governance, and cyber risk quantification.

The company stated that demand is strongest in fast-evolving areas such as securing AI agents, authentication, and benchmarking against peer organizations. Support for more AI solutions is scheduled to expand later in 2026.
