Metron Secures $48.6M Contract for AI-Enabled Mission Planning with U.S. Army
Metron has been awarded a $48.6 million contract by the U.S. Army to advance AI and machine learning capabilities for mission planning, announced in a press release. This initiative aims to enhance operational planning for joint and multi-domain operations under uncertain and rapidly changing conditions.
The contract will enable Metron to deliver software that supports complex planning, significantly reducing mission planning timelines and increasing the adaptability of expeditionary forces. The applications developed will directly address operational requirements for joint and multi-domain operations.
Work under this contract will be conducted in Reston, Virginia, and is expected to continue through June 2029. This award builds on Metron's history of providing AI-driven mission planning applications for rapid decision-making in contested environments.
