Medical City Dallas Adopts Perimeter's OCT Imaging Technology

July 02, 2025
Medical City Dallas Hospital has adopted Perimeter Medical Imaging AI's S-Series OCT technology for surgery, following its participation in a pivotal trial of the company's next-gen device.

Medical City Dallas Hospital has adopted the S-Series OCT (optical coherence tomography) technology from Perimeter Medical Imaging AI, as announced in a press release. This decision follows the hospital's involvement in a pivotal trial of Perimeter's next-generation B-Series device, which integrates AI technology with OCT for breast-conserving surgeries.

The S-Series OCT technology provides high-resolution visualization of tissue microstructures during surgery, offering a unique capability to 'see' disease at the cellular level. Cleared by the FDA in 2021 for general tissue indication, the S-Series is optimized for identifying regions of interest in tissue microstructures, making it ideal for visualizing surgical margins.

Perimeter's CEO, Adrian Mendes, expressed pride in partnering with Medical City Dallas Hospital, highlighting the collaboration with surgeons Dr. DiPasquale and Dr. Anderson as invaluable for advancing their next-generation product. The adoption of the S-Series OCT is part of Perimeter's broader strategy to deploy this technology across the United States.
