Taiwanese Health Technology Groups Test US Market in Dallas
GeneOnline stated in an announcement that ten Taiwanese hospitals and health technology companies presented clinical AI, remote monitoring, chronic care and rehabilitation systems at Taiwan Expo USA 2026 in Dallas. The Smart Healthcare Pavilion ran from September 24 to 26 and was implemented by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council.
Taichung Veterans General Hospital presented a system that uses contactless facial analysis to assess pain and identify potentially critical illness in emergency departments. Chang Gung Memorial Hospital showed an AI system for HER2 FISH assessment in breast cancer. Both hospitals are seeking US partners and more diverse clinical data to validate their systems outside Asian patient populations.
Health2Sync showed a platform that combines home health data with AI analysis for chronic disease management. Other exhibitors included Onyx Healthcare, which presented contactless patient monitoring, and VitalSigns Technology, whose cardiac monitoring device received FDA clearance in 2025 and is entering use in Texas.
The exhibitors are at different stages of US expansion. Some are seeking initial clinical and commercial partners, while others already have FDA cleared products, pilots, customers or local operations. Their US requirements include clinical validation, regulatory approval, distribution, installation, training and technical support.
