LifeKnight Expands Patent Portfolio for AI Emergency Response System
LifeKnight, Inc. has expanded its intellectual property portfolio covering an AI-based emergency response architecture, announced in a press release. The four-patent strategy protects the full emergency response chain from biometric event detection through AI-based alarm determination to direct routing to local emergency dispatch centers.
The first U.S. patent, issued in June 2023, covers alarm escalation and automated emergency contact notification. A second patent, granted in December 2025, covers direct routing of emergency events through the E911 interface to the appropriate Public Safety Answering Point. A third application, filed in December 2025, addresses autonomous alarm determination using AI agents analyzing biometric data. A fourth application, scheduled for filing this month under accelerated examination, focuses on wearable biometric monitoring and data transmission directly to emergency services.
The company’s approach is designed to protect each layer of the response process, from detection on wearable devices to delivery of emergency data to responders. LifeKnight is pursuing a licensing and partnership strategy across consumer device makers, senior living operators, and public safety technology providers. Current deployments include an assisted living community in South Carolina and a pilot with a separate wearable platform.
