Laminar Wins Gold 2026 Edison Award for Physical AI in Manufacturing
Laminar has received a Gold 2026 Edison Award in the Manufacturing and Logistics category announced in a press release. The award recognizes the company’s physical AI technology that helps manufacturers improve productivity and sustainability in factory operations.
Laminar’s system uses patented spectral sensors and a library of machine learning models to automate processes such as cleaning, product changeover, batch optimization, and quality control. These self-driving capabilities allow food and beverage producers to reduce water, chemical use, and downtime while increasing output.
The company’s technology is deployed across six continents for clients including Coca-Cola, AB InBev, Danone, and Unilever. Headquartered at Greentown Labs in Somerville, Massachusetts, Laminar is backed by investors such as Greycroft, Construct Capital, 2048 Ventures, and Flybridge Capital.
