Jetstream Venture Fund Invests in Surf Therapeutics and Hill Research
The Jetstream Venture Fund has announced two new strategic investments in Surf Therapeutics and Hill Research, expanding its healthtech and AI portfolios, according to a press release.
Surf Therapeutics, a clinical-stage healthtech startup, is developing a patented, non-invasive ultrasound neuromodulation platform to treat chronic inflammatory disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis. The company is led by CEO Nishant Doctor and aims to make its therapy available for home use.
Hill Research represents Jetstream’s first dedicated AI investment. The company’s platform uses artificial intelligence to automate and accelerate clinical pharmaceutical research, aiming to reduce both time and cost in the drug development process. Jetstream participated in a competitive funding round as Hill Research reported strong growth and traction.
Jetstream Venture Fund, managed by Xcellerant Ventures and Sweater Industries LLC, is structured as an interval fund designed to provide broader access to early-stage, high-growth investments with lower minimum commitments and no carried interest.
