Infinium Edge Unveils EdgeSites for Rapid AI Infrastructure Deployment

Infinium has introduced EdgeSites, a new program designed to deploy operational AI compute infrastructure within existing industrial and commercial facilities, announced in a press release. The system removes the need for new construction, grid interconnection, or water-based cooling, allowing sites to become AI ready in months.

EdgeSites is based on Infinium Edge’s proprietary Edge Thermal Vectoring immersion cooling platform. It uses Vector ONE modular units that each provide one megawatt of compute capacity in a self-contained, waterless package. These units can be installed indoors or outdoors and expanded as site power allows. The modular design enables up to ten megawatts of capacity per site while occupying less floor space than air-cooled equivalents.

The initiative repurposes underused electrical capacity in existing commercial and industrial properties across the United States. Infinium Edge manages all aspects of deployment and operation, while property owners can receive lease income from otherwise idle electrical infrastructure. AI companies and compute operators can secure capacity agreements measured by the kilowatt month, without requiring local construction or cooling system maintenance.

The Vector ONE dry-cooler configuration does not consume municipal water, making the system suitable for areas with cooling restrictions. EdgeSites is positioned to support the growing need for distributed inference workloads as AI demand continues to increase.
