Greenhouse announced in a press release the launch of the Greenhouse Model Context Protocol (MCP), a new capability that enables customers to connect AI tools directly to Greenhouse while maintaining governance and control. Developed with input from partners including StubHub and Komodo Health, the MCP rollout will begin in June.

The MCP provides a standardized and permission-aware method for approved AI tools and agents to interact with Greenhouse data. It allows hiring teams to automate workflows such as pipeline analysis, candidate status summaries, and compliance-ready reports. Users can also perform complex data investigations and integrate information from HR and finance systems.

Greenhouse stated that the new system is designed to help organizations experiment safely with AI-assisted recruiting while keeping all activity within the existing system of record. The initial release includes a curated set of MCP tools, organization-level controls, safety limits, and documentation for self-service integration. The company plans to expand the protocol with additional capabilities and guardrails based on customer feedback.
