Knack Launches HIPAA Compliant MCP Server for AI App Builders

Knack has launched an MCP Server that connects AI coding tools to a relational database backend with HIPAA compliant options, access controls, workflows, automations, integrations, and managed hosting.

Knack announced in a press release the launch of its MCP Server, a backend that connects AI coding tools to a relational database with compliance controls. Users can add the server to Claude, Lovable, ChatGPT, Bolt, Base44, Replit, and other AI assistants, then sign in with Knack account credentials to access the backend without writing infrastructure code or managing a server.

The MCP Server includes a scalable relational database accessible through MCP, HIPAA compliant data handling through Knack Health, role based access controls, record change logs, workflows, automations, more than 700 integrations, and hosting with no server configuration.

Knack said the MCP Server is available now to new and existing customers. Healthcare organizations can use Knack Health for a signed Business Associate Agreement and data architecture for protected health information.
