Google has finalized its acquisition of cloud and AI security company Wiz, integrating the firm into Google Cloud while maintaining its brand and multicloud support.

Google has completed its acquisition of Wiz, a cloud and AI security platform based in New York. The deal, first announced in March 2025, officially closed on March 11, 2026. Wiz will join Google Cloud while retaining its brand and continuing to operate across all major cloud environments.

According to the announcement, the integration will combine Wiz’s multicloud security expertise with Google Cloud’s infrastructure and AI capabilities to create a unified platform for threat detection, prevention, and response. The joint offering will also help organizations identify and defend against AI-related threats while using AI models to enhance security operations.

Wiz’s platform connects to major cloud providers including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Oracle Cloud, and Google Cloud Platform. It will remain available through partner security solutions and the Google Cloud Marketplace. The combined platform aims to simplify multicloud security management and improve protection for enterprises, governments, and small businesses operating in increasingly complex cloud environments.
