Fujitsu to Sell MONAKA CPU and Server in November
Fujitsu announces in a press release that global sales of its FUJITSU-MONAKA processor will begin in November 2026. The company will sell the CPU to cloud operators, data center operators, and server vendors.
The processor has a maximum frequency of 3.8 GHz and supports memory transfer speeds of 8,800 MT/s. Fujitsu says it provides twice the AI inference throughput of other CPUs and could halve the number of servers and power needed for equivalent workloads.
Fujitsu will also begin selling its MONAKA Server in Japan and Europe in November 2026. The system uses the FUJITSU-MONAKA processor and targets data centers, enterprises, academic institutions, and high performance computing users. It is manufactured in Japan and designed for air cooled data centers, with resource pooling and cooling technology intended to reduce energy use.
