fal Secures $49M Series B Funding to Enhance AI Video Infrastructure
fal, a prominent infrastructure platform for AI-driven media creation, has successfully raised $49 million in a Series B funding round. The investment was led by Notable Capital and Andreessen Horowitz, with additional participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Kindred Ventures, and First Round Capital. This latest funding brings fal's total capital raised to $72 million.
The funding will support fal's efforts to expand its global cloud capacity, transitioning from thousands of Hopper GPUs to tens of thousands of Blackwell GPUs. This expansion aims to meet the increasing demand for AI video applications across various industries, including advertising, entertainment, and e-commerce.
fal's proprietary inference engine is designed to optimize model performance, offering significant reductions in costs and latency. The platform processes over 100 million inference requests daily, maintaining a 99.99% uptime, which is crucial for enterprises deploying generative models at scale.
The company plans to introduce new community-driven features and model endpoints, enhancing its model marketplace and ecosystem. Additionally, fal is expanding its engineering, research, and sales teams to drive further innovation in AI-driven creativity.
Founded by Burkay Gur and Gorkem Yurtseven, fal continues to be a trusted partner for enterprises like Quora, Canva, and Perplexity, powering their generative media applications and supporting a community of over 1 million developers worldwide.
