Exostar Expands Microsoft Collaboration for CMMC Compliance on Azure
Exostar has expanded its collaboration with Microsoft Corporation to support Department of Defense Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) compliance across the Defense Industrial Base, announced in a press release.
Exostar’s Azure-based CMMC Ready Suite is now available through the Microsoft Marketplace, allowing defense contractors and suppliers to purchase the solution using existing Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitments. This approach simplifies procurement and deployment for more than 80,000 organizations that must meet CMMC Maturity Level 2 requirements.
The suite includes several integrated components built on Microsoft Azure. These include the Managed Access Gateway for identity and access management, Exostar Managed on Microsoft 365 for secure collaboration within Teams, and the Managed Secure Desktop powered by Azure Virtual Desktop. Together they create a unified compliance architecture for handling Controlled Unclassified Information.
According to the announcement, the expanded partnership aims to reduce procurement complexity while improving security and scalability for defense suppliers working toward CMMC certification.
