Dream emerged from stealth with $17 million in seed funding led by Andreessen Horowitz, according to TechCrunch. SV Angel, XYZ and Zigg Capital also participated.

The startup, founded by former Palantir executives, builds AI models that automate building design and engineering. Its model uses physics, construction standards and more than 100 million square feet of building data collected from permit archives across the United States.

Dream says its system accounts for structural materials, load capacity, plumbing and heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems. Architecture, engineering and construction professionals use the platform to create building concepts and estimate costs, with the software deployed across 10 active projects in Texas and California.
