Blueprints AI releases expanded building blueprint generator

Oct 12, 2026
Blueprints AI will release the second version of its software, which generates coordinated construction documents from a description, sketch, or PDF and checks designs against local building codes.

Blueprints AI will make the second version of its blueprint generation software publicly available this week and demonstrate it at TechCrunch Disrupt, according to TechCrunch.

Users can begin with a project description, sketch, or PDF and generate documents covering architecture, structural systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, plumbing, and interior design. When a user changes one part of a design, the software updates the full project and checks it against local building codes.

The Santa Monica startup trained its models using eight years of approved drawing sets from cofounder Al Dram's architecture and construction firm. Licensed professionals must still review and seal the documents before submitting them for permits.

Blueprints AI sells its software through subscriptions for architecture, engineering, and design firms, as well as developers and property owners. Its first version costs $3,200 to $8,500 per month, with separate pricing for enterprise customers.
