DFI Expands Rugged Edge AI Platforms for Mission-Critical Applications

DFI has announced new rugged edge AI platforms, including the X6-ORN and ECX700-ADP, designed for mission-critical computing in harsh environments, according to a press release.

DFI Inc. has announced its expanded lineup of rugged edge AI platforms, designed to meet the growing demand for resilient and intelligent solutions in mission-critical applications. In a press release, DFI introduced the X6-ORN, powered by NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX/Nano, which offers compact, wide-temperature performance for edge AI vision workloads. Additionally, the X6-ORN-GMSL model includes GMSL camera connectivity, making it suitable for vehicle applications.

The ECX700-ADP, another addition to the lineup, is built with IP67/IP69K-rated durability, ensuring reliable performance in harsh environments. This system, powered by Intel, operates in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 70°C and withstands 15G shock and MIL-STD-810G vibration. It features rich I/O, secure M12 connectors, an external SIM slot, and a high-gain antenna for enhanced connectivity.

DFI will showcase these new rugged platforms at DSEI 2025, highlighting their capabilities in enabling reliable edge AI, heterogeneous computing, and resilient operations across various sectors, including security, transportation, and industrial applications.
