Advantech and DEKRA Partner on Industrial Cybersecurity Compliance
Advantech and DEKRA signed a memorandum of understanding covering cybersecurity testing and certification for industrial and edge AI products, the companies announced in a press release. The work will support compliance with the European Union Cyber Resilience Act and standards including IEC 62443.
The partnership covers technical and feasibility assessments, documentation reviews, certification preparation, vulnerability management, and secure product development. It will help customers and system integrators identify requirements during product design and plan certification before testing and deployment.
As an initial result, Advantech's AFE-E630 industrial edge system passed an independent DEKRA assessment and received an Attestation of Conformity. Its security functions met IEC 62443-4-2 Security Level 2 requirements within the assessed scope. The companies plan to extend their work to industrial AI systems, semiconductor manufacturing, robotics, drones, energy equipment, and transportation management.
