CPC Biotech and Multiply Labs Partner on Robotic Cell Therapy Manufacturing
CPC Biotech and Multiply Labs have announced a collaboration to accelerate automation in cell therapy manufacturing in a press release. The partnership focuses on integrating robotic systems to improve efficiency, reduce contamination risk, and expand access to cell and gene therapies.
Multiply Labs, based in San Francisco, is developing modular robotic systems that operate in sterile environments without human intervention. These systems are designed to simplify production and minimize contamination by removing manual handling from the process.
CPC Biotech is contributing a new aseptic connector optimized for robotic operation. The connector combines the company’s MicroCNX Nano Series technology with a rigid interface that can be managed by robotic grippers. This design enables robots to handle tubing connections in a stable and repeatable way, supporting fully automated cell therapy workflows.
Both companies aim to increase production capacity while maintaining a compact footprint. The collaboration emphasizes modularity, scalability, and ease of use to help manufacturers adopt automated approaches in cell therapy production.
