Annie Launches Digital Coworker for Dental Practices

Annie has launched a Digital Coworker for dental teams that expands its AI receptionist into insurance verification, recare, appointment confirmation, and cancellation management.

Annie has launched a Digital Coworker for dental teams that handles administrative work beyond its AI receptionist, the company said in a press release. The Utah based dental startup said the system can work across insurance and benefits verification, recare, appointment confirmation, and cancellation management.

The product builds on Annie's existing AI receptionist, which answers calls, communicates with patients, schedules appointments, and helps practices capture missed opportunities. The new version is connected to the practice management system so it can monitor schedules and patient records, identify tasks, and take action without a staff member starting each workflow.

For recare, Annie can contact overdue patients and can also reach out before patients become overdue if they left a cleaning without booking the next visit. For appointment confirmations, it can send texts and calls, continue the conversation if a patient needs to reschedule, and update the schedule.

The system also watches for openings caused by cancellations and contacts patients who may be able to fill them. For insurance and benefits verification, Annie can identify patients who need verification, complete the checks, and return the information to the practice before appointments.
