Fixstars Joins Qualcomm Japan Robotics Center as Launch Partner

Fixstars Corporation will support the planned Qualcomm Japan Robotics Center as a participating partner from its launch, the company announced in a press release.

The center is planned by Qualcomm Technologies as a hub in Japan for robotics and physical AI work with companies, startups, researchers, and universities.

Fixstars said it will combine Qualcomm Technologies' AI and edge computing technologies with its software optimization work. Its role will focus on AI model inference optimization and acceleration for robotics applications running on Qualcomm Technologies platforms.

Qualcomm Technologies plans the center as part of a long term investment initiative for intelligent automation and industrial robotics in Japan. The program is expected to support technology development, commercialization, deployment, global scaling, ecosystem support, go to market programs, and showcase deployments.
