Cheetah Mobile Acquires Majority Stake in UFACTORY

Cheetah Mobile has announced the acquisition of a 60.8% stake in UFACTORY, a leading provider of lightweight robotic arms, to enhance its robotics commercialization strategy.

Cheetah Mobile has announced in a press release that it will acquire a controlling 60.8% stake in Shenzhen UFACTORY Technology Co., Ltd., a leading provider of lightweight robotic arms. This acquisition, valued at approximately RMB99.5 million, will increase Cheetah Mobile's total ownership in UFACTORY to about 75.8%.

The transaction, which has received approval from Cheetah Mobile's board of directors and audit committee, is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, pending customary closing conditions. Cheetah Mobile plans to fund the acquisition using its cash reserves, which totaled over USD230 million as of March 31, 2025.

UFACTORY is known for its collaborative robotic arms designed to work safely alongside humans. The company has a strong global customer base and offers a diverse range of robotic arms and accessories. This acquisition aligns with Cheetah Mobile's strategy to expand its product portfolio and enhance its capabilities in AI and robotics.
