Accel-KKR Takes Majority Stake in Whip Around to Support Growth and Acquisitions

Fleet maintenance software company Whip Around has received a majority investment from private equity firm Accel-KKR to expand its platform, pursue acquisitions, and scale operations.

Fleet maintenance and compliance software provider Whip Around has received a majority investment from Accel-KKR, announced in a press release. The partnership will enable Whip Around to expand its product capabilities, strengthen its market presence, and pursue strategic acquisitions.

With Accel-KKR’s backing, Whip Around plans to increase investment in its platform and scale its go-to-market operations. The company said the partnership will also enhance its ability to identify and execute potential acquisitions that complement its offerings.

Accel-KKR, which manages over $23 billion in capital commitments, focuses on software and technology-enabled businesses. Whip Around, based in San Diego, offers a cloud-based inspection and maintenance platform that connects drivers, mechanics, and managers in real time, using AI-driven insights to improve fleet safety and compliance.
