Capgemini India to Hire 45,000 Employees in 2025 with AI Focus
Capgemini India has announced plans to hire between 40,000 and 45,000 employees in 2025. This recruitment drive comes amid challenges in the IT sector and aims to strengthen the company's workforce with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.
The company, which currently employs approximately 175,000 people in India, is seeing an increase in work being directed to the country. This is largely due to clients seeking cost-effective solutions and efficiency improvements. To support this hiring initiative, Capgemini has partnered with over 50 colleges and campuses across India, with recruitment already underway.
A significant portion of the new hires, around 35-40%, will be lateral recruits, bringing experienced talent into key business areas. The remaining positions will be filled by fresh graduates, who will receive upfront training in AI to ensure they are prepared for the evolving technological landscape.
This hiring strategy aligns with Capgemini's broader vision of building an AI-ready workforce, as the company continues to expand its operations and capabilities in India.
