Bybit Launches Model Context Protocol for Multi Agent Trading

April 22, 2026
Bybit has introduced its Model Context Protocol (MCP), enabling traders and developers to build multi agent trading systems powered by AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude without custom API integration.

Bybit announced in a press release the launch of its Model Context Protocol (MCP), a standardized infrastructure that allows professional traders and developers to create multi agent trading systems. The MCP enables integration with AI agents such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other compatible platforms without the need for custom API integration or code management.

Through the new protocol, traders can access live market data, execute trades, and manage portfolios using natural language commands. The MCP framework scales from single to multi agent architectures and eliminates the need for manual configuration, allowing developers to compose advanced trading systems and deploy automated strategies.

The MCP standard provides a unified method for AI agents to discover and connect with external tools and data sources. Bybit’s implementation includes four functional modules: Market Data, Trading, Account and Asset, and Real Time Data Streams. These modules are accessible through MCP compatible AI copilots.

Bybit stated that the MCP architecture maintains user control over credentials and permissions. The system enforces credential isolation, ensuring Bybit does not store or access API or private keys. The infrastructure is available immediately for integration and testing, with technical documentation published for developers.
