BrainChip Launches AKD1500 PCIe Card for Edge AI Testing

BrainChip's AKD1500 PCIe card lets developers test neuromorphic edge AI models on desktop, workstation, industrial and single board computers.

BrainChip Holdings Ltd announced the AKD1500 PCIe development card in a press release. The card uses the company's AKD1500 edge AI co-processor and supports self learning with low power consumption.

Developers can install the card in a standard PCIe slot in a desktop, workstation, industrial PC or single board computer. It runs models created with existing frameworks and lets teams test them with their own streaming data. BrainChip says models validated on the card can run on deployed AKD1500 hardware without changes.

The card is available through BrainChip's online store. Its tools and model library do not require subscription or license fees. BrainChip also offers the AKD1500 as an M.2 module, packaged or unpackaged silicon, and licensable intellectual property for custom chips.
