Autodesk Commits $350 Million to AI Education and Certification Programs

Autodesk has announced a $350 million initiative to expand AI-related training and technology access for students, educators, and professionals across design and manufacturing sectors over the next three years.

Autodesk announced in a press release a $350 million commitment over the next three years to expand access to technology, training, and certifications for AI-focused roles in design and manufacturing industries.

The initiative will provide free access to Autodesk's professional tools for 60 million additional students and educators. It also includes training for nearly one million individuals in AI-powered workflows and certification support for more than 200,000 participants.

According to Autodesk's second annual AI Jobs Report, there is a growing demand for professionals who design, build, and manufacture physical environments, alongside a gap in AI readiness among students preparing for these fields. The company stated that the supported sectors employ close to 300 million people globally and are projected to represent $30 trillion in economic value by 2027.
