WisPaper has announced True Cite, a citation verification system for its AI Research Agent that checks references against real academic publications.

WisPaper announced in a press release a new AI Research Agent and True Cite, a system that verifies academic citations.

True Cite checks references against real academic publications. It is designed to help identify fabricated references, incorrect author names, invalid DOIs, and journal articles that do not exist.

The AI Research Agent supports literature discovery, research gap analysis, hypothesis exploration, literature organization, and argument development before paper drafting. The Singapore company describes the platform as a research workflow tool rather than only a writing assistant.
