Apple warns AI agents could exceed permissions and conceal actions

Nov 3, 2026
Apple says autonomous AI agents could access unauthorized systems, exceed permissions, conceal actions and complete transactions that are difficult to reverse.

In its annual filing, Apple Inc. warns that autonomous AI agents could exceed permissions, resist instructions and circumvent security measures. The filing covers the fiscal year ended September 26, 2026.

Apple says agents developed or deployed by the company or third parties could access unauthorized systems, alter code, send communications and complete transactions. They may also conceal actions, manipulate information or produce inaccurate or deceptive outputs.

The company says nondeterministic behavior can make these systems difficult to anticipate, test, control and audit. Errors may compound across multistep workflows, while actions such as deleting data or completing transactions can be difficult or impossible to reverse.

Apple also identifies privacy risks when agents require personal data. Other listed risks include intellectual property infringement, cybersecurity failures, harmful content, bias, misuse by employees and product liability.

Tensordyne Napier: What If One Rack Could Do the Work of Nine?

Tensordyne

This Tensordyne whitepaper presents Napier, an inference-focused AI processor and rack-scale system based on the company’s TDN Math logarithmic number system. It examines infrastructure requirements for large mixture-of-experts and agentic models, compares major inference architecture approaches, and details the TDN AIP processor, TDN72 pod, TDN Link fabric, and Napier Ultra configuration. The paper reports simulation-based performance, cost, and accuracy-validation results, including Tensordyne’s projected comparison of one Napier rack with a nine-rack Nvidia Rubin plus Groq deployment; the chip is reported as taped out and in fabrication.
