Aolani Discusses AI Token Exports at Malaysia Data Center Forum

Aolani CEO Nicholas Chia discussed Malaysia's cloud and computing market at Data Centre Nexus 2026, the company said in a press release. The Malaysian Investment Development Authority hosted the event on September 16, with participants from EdgeConnex, DayOne and AirTrunk.

Chia presented Aolani's Token Factory model, which converts computing capacity into tokens used by AI systems. The company said this could support digital service exports from Malaysia instead of limiting data centers to hosting infrastructure.

Aolani also plans to provide local access to computing resources for small and medium businesses, sovereign workloads, education and agriculture. Chia said the company wants Malaysia to become a major exporter of AI tokens by 2030.
