Anthropic Adds Personal Finance Tool to Claude

Nov 5, 2026
Claude can now analyze balances and transactions from connected bank and credit card accounts through Plaid. The read only tool is entering beta for paid users in the US.

Anthropic is rolling out a Personal Finance tool for Claude, reports TechCrunch. The beta begins this week for Pro, Max, and Ultra subscribers in the US.

Users can connect bank and credit card accounts through Plaid, then ask Claude questions about their balances, transactions, and spending. Access is read-only, so Claude cannot move, manage, or invest money.

Claude can categorize spending across accounts and identify duplicate charges, unexpected fees, and rising bills. It can also explain financial terms and calculate costs such as interest paid over the past year. Anthropic says access is limited to account details, balances, credit limits, and up to two years of transaction history. Conversations in the Personal Finance section are not used to train its models.
