Akamai Technologies and Apiiro have expanded their collaboration to integrate their application security platforms, providing enterprises with unified visibility and control over application risks across the software development lifecycle.

Akamai Technologies and Apiiro have expanded their partnership to deliver an integrated application security posture management platform, announced in a press release. The collaboration combines Akamai's application and API security tools with Apiiro's platform to help enterprises manage risks throughout the software development lifecycle.

The joint solution will merge Akamai's API Security and App & API Protector with Apiiro's capabilities for full API inventory, discovery, and runtime protection. It will also provide governance and remediation tools to address software supply chain risks and unify fragmented security tools.

Through this integration, customers will gain a single platform for managing application risk, connecting runtime and code-level insights, and prioritizing vulnerabilities. The companies plan to align product roadmaps and provide joint customer support as part of the expanded agreement.

According to Akamai, enterprise clients are already achieving measurable results, including cost savings and improved visibility across thousands of applications. The combined offering aims to give organizations a consolidated view of their application security posture, from code to runtime.
