Agon Launches Virtual Battlefield Platform With $30 Million
Agon, a British defence startup building virtual battlefields for AI powered autonomous weapons, has launched with $30 million in funding, according to Tech.eu.
The funding includes $7 million in pre seed backing from Lakestar, 201 Ventures, D3 and angel investors. A later $23 million seed round came from XYZ, Lux Capital and Northzone, with existing investors also taking part.
Agon was founded in 2026 by Tristam Constant, a former British Army soldier and former Anduril director, and Junaid Hussain, co founder of Cambridge Aerospace and Iconic. The company has offices in London and Berlin, and its team includes people from Applied Intuition, Google, Helsing, Palantir, Amazon and Unity.
The company is building synthetic battlefields where defence companies, AI developers and governments can train and test autonomous weapons systems. Agon says its platform can be used for systems such as counterdrone weapons that practice responding to drone swarms.
Agon says it has signed initial partnerships with European defence autonomy companies. The company plans to use the funding to scale and improve its platform for European customers.
