Energy & Sustainability

Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) has increased its capital investment plan to between $22.5 billion and $26 billion for 2025 to 2029 due to rising electricity demand from AI data centers in New Jersey. New APR Energy will deploy four mobile gas turbines to provide over 100 MW of power for an unnamed data center hyperscaler, following Fortress Investment Group's acquisition of APR Energy's assets.

Technology

RADCOM Ltd. is creating a data capture and analytics solution using NVIDIA's BlueField-3 DPU to enhance telecom network insights and resource optimization. The solution is set for trials this year and a commercial launch in 2026. SoftBank Corp., ZutaCore, and Foxconn have partnered to create a rack-integrated solution using ZutaCore's two-phase Direct Liquid Cooling technology for AI servers with NVIDIA GPUs. This collaboration aims to improve energy efficiency in AI data centers. Nvidia has acquired Augtera Networks, a California-based AIOps company, to enhance its Spectrum-X networking product portfolio. The acquisition details remain undisclosed.

Data Centers

Entel Bolivia has inaugurated a $52 million data center in El Alto and revealed plans to expand fiber optic access to 116 municipalities. Meta Platforms Inc. is in early discussions to secure a $35 billion financing package for data center development in the US. Stoneshield plans to invest €3.6 billion in a data center campus near Santander, Spain. Submer is expanding its operations with new units for datacenter design and AIaaS. Carbice Corporation has appointed Tony Fernandez-Stoll as Chief Revenue Officer. Supermicro is expanding its manufacturing capacity with a new campus in Silicon Valley. TECfusions has acquired 73 acres in Virginia to expand its data center operations. CoreWeave is preparing for an IPO valued at over $35 billion. Sify Infinit Spaces Limited has initiated the development of an AI-Hub Data Centre in Lucknow. Eni has signed agreements with Emirati companies to develop data centres in Italy. CtrlS Datacenters plans to invest Rs 6,000 crore in its Chennai data centre. Meta is planning a new data center in the US for AI projects, with costs potentially exceeding $200 billion. New Era Helium and Sharon AI plan a net-zero energy AI data center in Texas. Hyperscale Data, Inc. will increase the power capacity of its Michigan data center by 40 megawatts. Telenor has opened Norway's first AI factory. An underwater intelligent computing cluster has been deployed off the coast of Hainan, China.
